알짜 게스트들의 방문, 기대하세요
<폴트리 가이스트>영화제는 절반이 지났지만 게스트의 행렬은 끝나지 않았다. 오히려 ‘알짜’ 게스트들의 부천 방문은 16일(월요일) 이후로 이어질 전망이다. 먼저 <폴트리 가이스트>의 로이드 카우프먼 감독은 16일 부천에 도착해 관객과 만날 예정이며, <마츠가네 난사사건>을 연출한 야마시타 노부히로 감독과 <유령대 우주인>의 시미즈 다카시 감독은 오는 17일 부천에 입성한다. 또 미이케 다카시 감독은 20일 오후 8시에 있는 <용이 간다>의 깜짝 상영 자리에 참석해 관객과 대화 시간을 갖는다. 한편 공식 게스트는 아니지만 <웰컴 투 동막골>을 연출한 박광현 감독도 16일 오후 11시에 열리는 <환상교실: 아시아영화의 특수분장>의 두 번째 시간인 니시무라 공작소의 강연에 참석할 계획이다.
Guest Appearances Have Not Stopped
Although the Film Festival is half way through, the guest appearances have not stopped. After the 16th, Puchon will continue welcoming the 'main' guests to the big event. Director Lloyd Kaufman of <Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead> will arrive on the 16th and meet the audiences. He is not the only guest who will come to Puchon, however. Yamashita Nobuhiro, who directed <The Matsugane Potshot Affair> and director Shimizu Takashi of <Ghost vs Alien> will step on the land of Puchon on the 17th. Meanwhile, even though not a 'formal guest,' <Welcome to Dongmakgol>'s director Gwanghyun Park will participate in the second part of <Special Effect Make-up in Asian Films>, which is given by Nishimura Motion Picture Model Makers Group at 11 p.m. on the 16th.
젊은 영화인의 밤 열려
부천영화제 해외 게스트들의 파티인 ‘젊은 영화인의 밤’행사가 14일 오후 8시, 부천시 중동에 위치한 사운드 라이브 레스토랑에서 열렸다. ‘불경지야’란 이름이 붙은 이 파티에는 심사위원장인 정창화 감독을 비롯해 여러 해외 감독들과 국내 영화인, 그리고 피판가이 이완, 송창의가 참석했으며 원맨밴드 올드피쉬와 혼성그룹 크리스피 로즈가 무대에 올라 흥을 더했다. 16일 밤에는 초청 게스트와 특수분장 워크숍 관련 초청자를 대상으로 영화진흥위원회가 후원하는 칵테일 파티가 같은 곳에서 열릴 예정이다.
‘Blasphemous Night Party’ was held
At 8 p.m. on the 14th, the foreign guests of PiFan enjoyed their party: 'Blasphemous Night Party.' This event was held at Sound Live Restaurant in Jung-dong of Bucheon. Chairperson of Juries Chang Wha Chung and many more directors from abroad, people in the domestic film industry enjoyed their night at the party. The night of the 16th will be a time for the cocktail party supported by the Korean Film Council, which is opened to the invited guests and those related to the special effect make-up workshop. It will be held at the same place as the one on the 14th.
<마스터즈 오브 호러> 사운드 사고 발생
7월14일 <마스터즈 오브 호러 시즌2>의 심야상영 도중 사운드 장비의 과부하로 상영이 잠시 중단되는 사고가 발생했다. 당시 상영관에 있던 관객은 마지막 작품인 <복수의 멜로디> 상영 중 갑작스레 스피커에서 들려오는 굉음 때문에 극장을 빠져나가 주최측의 점검을 기다렸던 것으로 알려졌다. 박진형 프로그래머는 “기계의 노후화로 벌어진 현상이며, 과열된 장비를 식히느라고 상영이 좀 늦어졌다. 환불을 요구하는 관객이 없어서 초대권을 드리며 사과했다”고 밝혔다.
<Masters of Horror> Sound System Overloaded
During the midnight screening of <Masters of Horror- Season 2> on July 14th, the movie stopped for some time due to the overloaded sound system. It is said that the audiences watching the last clip, <We All Scream for Ice Cream>, had to wait outside until the system was checked after the speaker made a 'thundering sound.' Programmer Jinhyung Park explained, "This accident was due to the deterioration of the machine and the duration of the screening went overtime because we had to cool the overheated equipment. There was no one who wanted a refund so we gave them courtesy cards and apologized."
