7월19일 오후 5시 프리머스10관 <스트레이트 재킷>의 상영 중 갑작스런 정전으로 인해 1여분간 상영이 중지되고 화면비율이 바뀌는 영사사고가 발생했다. 몇몇 관객들은 영화제 게시판에 상영이 재개된 후에도 잘못된 화면비율로 상영을 강행한 건 이해할 수 없는 처사라고 지적하고 나섰다. 이에 부천영화제측은 "디지털 영사기 DLP의 화면비율이 원래는 16:9로 설정되어 있었는데 전기가 나간 탓에 4:3 초기값으로 돌아가버렸다. 다시 설정값을 재조정하면 시간이 지연될까 당황한 영사기사가 그대로 상영을 진행한 것 같다"고 설명하며 관객들의 이해를 구했다.
On July 19, the screening of <Strait Jacket>, 5 p.m. at Primus 10, was interrupted due to electricity failure and was resumed after a minute with the screen ratio modified. Some of the audience pointed out on the website that it is not understandable that the PiFan proceeded when the screen ratio was inadequate. PiFan office asked the audience for understanding saying, "Digital projector DLP's screen ratio was set to 16:9 at the beginning but the power failure brought it back to 4:3. The projectionist was disconcerted and went ahead with screening as it takes time to readjust the ratio."
