9 days of festivals ends
The 9 days of film festival is ending, leaving a feeling of wistfulness. The closing ceremony which will be held on May 4th 7 p.m. at the Sori Arts Center of Jeollabukdo, will splendidly decorate the closing night of the 8th Jeonju International Film Festival that screened 37 countries’ 185 films. The event will last for about 1 hour, and actors Lee Dong-wook and So Ee-hyun will be emceeing the event. Various award winning productions will be announced followed by the winners’ brief words. JIFF People’s Choice Award, Net Pac Award, KT&G Sangsangmadang Award, CGV Korean Independent Feature Film Distribution Support Award, Korean Cinema on the Move: Audience Critics’ Award, Korean Cinema on the Move: JJ Star Award, and Woosuk Award will be awarded. President JIFF Organization Committee Song Ha-jin will officially declare the closing, and after its introduction as the finale, Hong Kong director Johnnie To’s <Exiled> will be screened. Jeonju will once again promise its 9th festival next year.
